Charles Elena is a creative force that was founded in 2006 by David Charles Neilson and Sandy Elena Tsindos. After years of working in graphic design, advertising, corporate branding and website design in Melbourne, David and Sandy merged their creative energies and set about on their mission to provide businesses with visual communication and brand management of the highest standard.

FOUNDER

David Charles Neilson
(B. Des, Vis Com - Monash University)

David is an award-winning designer and has worked for the Australian Associated Press, AAP-Pagemasters as an Editorial Designer. Clients served include a broad range of Australian Media Agencies, such as Rural Press, Canberra Times, Hobart Mercury, Melbourne’s The Age and The Herald Sun. In 2005, David accepted a position with The Herald Sun as a Features Designer in Melbourne and later moved to the Sunday Herald Sun as a Senior Designer. David has re-designed many key sections of the Sunday Herald Sun and was instrumental in the design for the coverage of the Black Saturday bushfires that devastated Victoria in 2009. On March 20, 2009, David won the prestigious Melbourne Press Club Quill Award for design, the pinnacle for design awards in the newspaper industry.

FOUNDER

Sandy Elena Tsindos
(B. Des, Vis Com - Monash University, Dip Des RMIT)

Sandy has International corporate branding experience and began her career at a Melbourne design studio servicing clients such as Coca Cola, L’Oreal and Redkin. In 2004, Sandy joined a Melbourne advertising agency as a Senior Designer and in 2005 was promoted to Creative Director where she managed a team and jointly worked on accounts such as Mercedes Benz, Daimler Chrysler, Jeep and Melbourne City Council projects. Sandy has managed projects from concept to completion and has extensive knowledge in website design and development. She brings a diverse range of technical skills to our Melbourne design studio.
